This project born a few years ago when I encountered a fatal bug on a production environment, unfortunately not replicable on my development machine. I spent many time finding a solution, using also freeware and commercial third-party tools and libraries, but none helped me because the bug crashed the process, and no of the above tools could be able to catch the exception before the process dying. Also, it was not possible to install a development environment onto the production machines, so the only solution was to develop a debugger which didn't need any user/developer interaction. I used many open source resources, then I decided to make the Bug Finder an open source project. It is built over a pluggable architecture to support other languages different from Borland Delphi (the one I used to develop my faulting application and the Bug Finder too). Orwell Dev-C++ with author authentication. Perfect for student homeworks, if you don't want your students to copy their homework files from others. Authenticated files are regular source files with student's name and a security hash added at the end. Any cheating attempt by copying in the files / changing name will invalidate the hash and can be detected by the teacher. In addition, paste in authenticated files is only allowed from one's own files. The CheckHash.exe tool checks the hash and reports the authentication status of of all .cpp files in the current directory. This tool is intended for teachers. How to install: simply download a Setup Release and install it. Alternatively, it is possible to just overwrite devcpp.exe in the original Dev-Cpp installation folder with the one in the zip release, and also add Auth.dll in the same folder. Dev-C++ for Homeworks is based on Orwell Dev-C++ software. Releases follow upstream releases.

p5c is a fast portable iso standard pascal compiler. It is derived from the pascal p5 compiler and creates gnu c code instead of p-code. This makes it very fast since it uses gcc to generate native code. p5c is multi platform - it is easy to get up and running since you only need gcc to start. Using gcc enables extra tools like a static analyser and code coverage analyser. Transposer converts the chords of a text file which contains the lyrics and chords for a song into whatever key the user desires. Version 1.0 no new features, just some UI cleanup. No bugs reported since last BETA, so nothing to fix at this point. (0.56) was the first with a mechanism for creating an ignore list of words which might get transposed if they are on a line by themselves, such as, "ending". This word is typically made of characters which are valid chord characters that would otherwise be transposed. There are two editing panes in the main window. One is for the original song, and the other is for the transposed song. Earlier versions of this program were command line only (CLI), then I used QT to augment my C++ source to create a GUI. This project is now developed in Lazarus, using a collaborative approach. I (abudeveloper) and my son (iamslinger) are working together on this project.
