How the catalog works

Where the projects come from

Programs found them: the Online Package Manager, GitHub, GitLab, Codeberg, SourceForge and lists people keep on the web. Every entry links to where the project lives.

Each one was sorted by kind and subject automatically, so some are in the wrong place and some do not belong at all. People here put that right.

Member ratings

Signed-in members rate projects from one to five stars. Ratings count most: a project members rate well comes before any number of stars on a code host.

Interesting

Anyone may press Interesting on a project, signed in or not, once per project. It says "worth a look" and moves the project up for everyone.

Interesting counts more than stars on a code host, and less than member ratings. Press it again to take it back.

Discovering projects

Random project shows one project at a time. Interesting, show me another counts your Interesting and moves on. Not for me, show me another just moves on.

Not for me counts against nothing: a project nobody has found yet is not pushed down for it. On a keyboard the left and right arrows do the same.

The order of the list

First the projects members rated, best first; then the rest by what visitors found interesting and their stars on the code host. A search puts the best match first.

Something that does not belong

Members can report an entry that is not a Pascal project, is harmful, empty or a copy. Admins look at every report, and an entry that several members report is hidden until they do.

Is it yours?

If a project is yours and something about it is wrong, or you want it taken out, message the admin. Its page has the link.

What is kept

A rating or report is kept with your account. For Interesting from someone not signed in only a scrambled form of their address is kept, never the address itself.
