This program can rename large amounts of files and folders in few clicks. It only modifies files/folders names. Changing extension, Replacing character strings by others, Inserting a character string, Moving characters, Deleting characters, Enumeration, Name creation with mp3's Tag (ID v1.1), Name creation with file's last modified date and time, Random names creation, Case change (uppercase, lowercase, first letter of each word in uppercase), Take names from a list/file, Use of EXIF info, Regular expressions. Available in several languages. Unicode file names are supported, so it is possible to rename without problems files that have names containing characters from Japanese, Chinese, Arab, etc. This may seem common nowadays, but back then when it was added (2003) it was a big plus. Tested successfully under various Windows versions, from 98 (possibly with a few updated system files) and NT4 (SP4 required) up to current ones (Windows 10/11 included).

Transposer

Transposer converts the chords of a text file which contains the lyrics and chords for a song into whatever key the user desires. Version 1.0 no new features, just some UI cleanup. No bugs reported since last BETA, so nothing to fix at this point. (0.56) was the first with a mechanism for creating an ignore list of words which might get transposed if they are on a line by themselves, such as, "ending". This word is typically made of characters which are valid chord characters that would otherwise be transposed. There are two editing panes in the main window. One is for the original song, and the other is for the transposed song. Earlier versions of this program were command line only (CLI), then I used QT to augment my C++ source to create a GUI. This project is now developed in Lazarus, using a collaborative approach. I (abudeveloper) and my son (iamslinger) are working together on this project.

Ascii85, also called Base85, is a form of binary-to-text encoding developed by Paul E. Rutter for the “btoa” utility. By using five ASCII characters to represent four bytes of binary data (making the encoded size ¹⁄₄ larger than the original, assuming eight bits per ASCII character), it is more efficient than uuencode or Base64, which use four characters to represent three bytes of data (¹⁄₃ increase, assuming eight bits per ASCII character).
