Bug Finder is a windows run-time debugger specialized to intercept and decode exceptions, in particular Delphi exceptions in faulting processes for which is difficult or impossible to trap errors in code.
This project born a few years ago when I encountered a fatal bug on a production environment, unfortunately not replicable on my development machine. I spent many time finding a solution, using also freeware and commercial third-party tools and libraries, but none helped me because the bug crashed the process, and no of the above tools could be able to catch the exception before the process dying. Also, it was not possible to install a development environment onto the production machines, so the only solution was to develop a debugger which didn't need any user/developer interaction. I used many open source resources, then I decided to make the Bug Finder an open source project. It is built over a pluggable architecture to support other languages different from Borland Delphi (the one I used to develop my faulting application and the Bug Finder too). I made this program because i was not allowed to use Total Commander anymore at work. This program is a rudimentary version of Total Commander which does the basics. Loading of folders is rather fast. You can View, edit, copy, move, delete files and folders. As well as create a new folder. This is still work in progress and i will update when i have new stuff or bug fixes.

This small tool allows the user to graphically examine ddrescue's mapfiles in a user friendly GUI application. The Main window displays a block grid with each block's color representing the block types it contains. Many people know this type of view from defragmentation programs. The program is written in Object Pascal using the Lazarus IDE. It can be compiled to run on Windows, GNU/Linux and probably OS X, too. The downloads include binaries for the respective target platform and the project files (source code). Update 2022/02/25: ddrescueview version 0.4.5 has been released. This maintenance release restores compatibility with ddrescue 1.24 and later. Please consider testing this version. One of the hardest things to do when coding with COBOL is translating a screen design into code. The process may take hours, not to say days. In my old BLIS-COBOL, COBOL 74 and COBOL 80 /85 days (and those last 2 had the SCREEN SECTION which helped a lot !), I recall spending a significant amount of time dedicated to that activity. Time that could be used for more productive activities like coding and resolving bugs, for instance. Having said that, I developed a Screen Editor (similar to a Screen Painter, as some tools may call it) which allows the user to create screen layouts (which includes the use of colors) with delimited fields and respective input masks, and finally generate the SCREEN SECTION code that reflects that layout. All of it automatically - no code needed. The idea came from a program I used to use named EDITEL. I have adapted the concept (it was originally built for BLIS COBOL systems) and created a version that does this for GnuCOBOL and Microfocus COBOL. Enjoy !

Transposer converts the chords of a text file which contains the lyrics and chords for a song into whatever key the user desires. Version 1.0 no new features, just some UI cleanup. No bugs reported since last BETA, so nothing to fix at this point. (0.56) was the first with a mechanism for creating an ignore list of words which might get transposed if they are on a line by themselves, such as, "ending". This word is typically made of characters which are valid chord characters that would otherwise be transposed. There are two editing panes in the main window. One is for the original song, and the other is for the transposed song. Earlier versions of this program were command line only (CLI), then I used QT to augment my C++ source to create a GUI. This project is now developed in Lazarus, using a collaborative approach. I (abudeveloper) and my son (iamslinger) are working together on this project.
