BAScript is a simple scripting engine written in Object Pascal you can use to add scripting to your Delphi, Lazarus or Free Pascal applications ("host program") to extend their functionality without the need of recompiling them. The virtual machine defines its own language, called the BAScript language. It is a low-level language, somewhat similar to the Assembler language, which is not intended to be easy to program but easy to execute. So it is recommendable to use other higher level languages and translate them into BAScript language. Package includes two compilers that translates from a higher-level language to the BAScript language. You should note that BAScript is intended to be lightweight, so it has not mechanisms to handle complex data structures or large amounts of data or code. On the other hand, it has less need for memory and resources than other scripting interpreters. If you need more power you may try PascalScript.
This project will accompany Part 3 of Writing an Interpreter in Object Pascal.
MyPascal is an Open Source project to create a Pascal language based script language interpreter addon for applications. The main concept was to create it lesser variable type dependant than the Pascal language itself, easying its use.
GHLI is GPMI's Highlevel Language Interpreter (doesn't requirey but suggests GPMI). It is an embeddable script interpreter for different script languages.GHLI aims to be small, simple and fast. Currently supports pascal-script and assembly-script.
NOTE: As of r816, Nucleus source code is licensed under GPLv3. (8th Oct 2017) Nu|cleus [ˈnjuːklɪəs] - The central and most important part of an object, movement, or group, forming the basis for its activity and growth. This is yet another long-term project (YALP?). The aim is to write a portable GUI/OS for Atari ST, Amiga and DOS. The code must be small, fast and support modern GUI features. ie: Embedded component controls. The code current compiles with Highspeed Pascal (Atari ST) or FreePascal. I hope to have it compiling for the Amiga (also using Highspeed Pascal), and supporting a built in p-code compiler/interpreter for cross platform development.
A small bootstrapable pascal compiler/interpreter based on pascals, with a focus on concurrency. Originally from Alan Burns and Geoff Davies https://www-users.york.ac.uk/~ab38/pf.html.
Pascal-S compiler/interpreter for Pascal subset
Simple C-like scripting engine written in Free Pascal
A sandbox-first JavaScript engine for AI agents: host-set capabilities and limits, deterministic runs, TypeScript annotations, test262 on every pull request.
Fast modern scripting engine for Free Pascal
An expression parser and a virtual machine. A formula is compiled to a flat byte array and evaluated by a linear pass over it, with no allocation on the path of an ordinary formula. On x86-64 an optional accelerator compiles that bytecode to machine code and hands anything it declines back to the interpreter, so an answer is never fast but wrong. Results are cached by shape: once 2 + 3 has been compiled, 5 + 7 reuses the same script and only writes the numbers into a copy. 163 functions to call and 249 names in the table, your own functions and variables bound by address, symbolic differentiation. The Lazarus parser packages require FCL and define NOFORMS and NOGRAPHICS, so they install without LCL. WebAssembly uses a separate console configuration. Two units ask for more at their defaults, Thread through Application.HandleException and BlobManager through TGraphic; drop the defines and add the LCL to the package if you want them.

NEWS: The MPL language is now completely defined. No more language changes are to be made. The compiler is complete and should be easy to translate to other languages if you so choose. MPL is a small, simple language based on BCPL, B, C and Jesusonic. The compiler and interpreter are written in portable Pascal. I have successfully compiled MPL for CP/M, DOS, Windows, Atari ST, Amiga and the Tandy Colour Computer. MPL is designed to be tiny in every way, while implementing all the important features of BCPL & B. The result is a compiler written in a high level language (PASCAL) which compiles to under 16K (CP/M). The symbol table, language syntax, and bytecode are all optimized for size. I will write a MPL Reference Manual in time. Contact myself if you want to help get that written.
