This package provides 3rd generation of components to simplify communication with musical instruments, developed with high-performance in mind. The package also comes with a high-priority system timer and a MIDI clock component. You can register threaded observers, giving you MIDI events in real-time with timing, or non-threaded to respond in a UI environment.

The software takes midi input (e g from a midi keyboard) and prints on the screen what chord you are currently playing. The idea is to write the chords not the perfect logical way, but the way a musician would write it.

With the NMG2 Open source editor you can make patches on the Clavia Nord Modular G2 synthesizer using the USB interface or using midi. It is an alternative to the original Clavia editor software. The orignal Clavia software still works o.k. on the latest o.s. for PC and Mac, so you don't really need the open source editor. But since the Modular G2 synthesizer is discontinued by Clavia, there may come a day that the editor doesn't work anymore on a future new o.s. The goal of this project is to have an alternative in place when that day comes, and in the mean time add some functionality the original editor doesn;t have, like a G2 Vst.
