Just want to make sure this path is plausible before I invest more time in it.
Thanks a lot.

AFAIK, the current Delphi XE can do "native code" apps for iOS (while the next release is supposed to be able to do apps for Android, as well),
I don't see why other native code apps should be banned.

Here's the one, I've been involved with:
https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/icarus-sky/id450199377?mt=8 And there're others by Sergio Flores.
I'm sure there're a lot of other people out there, subscribed to MacPascal mailing list.
thanks,

Yes, several people/companies have done so. Note that since a couple of weeks, you have to use FPC 2.7.1 r25325 or later because Apple now requires that applications are linked as PIE (position-independent executables), which requires the program to be compiled with PIC (position-independent code) and earlier FPC versions did not support that for ARM/Darwin.

I would assumed so because of the existence of Firemonkey for Delphi and Xamarin for C#.
I asked this questions because I wrote a FREE (without advertisement) app with Free Pascal.
The app was about Acupuncture (Chinese medicine) and was in Chinese interface only and I submitted to the Apple App Store and got rejected.
The rejection was was
- Did not integrate with iOS features.
I was afraid that the scanned the code and discovered that it was written in Free Pascal and rejected the app, so I asked the question on this e-list.
I also asked Apple to elaborate on the rejection reasons.
Today, I got their reply:
" Please provide a demo video that presents sufficient function. Also, if the app uses web browse feature, it should be rated at 17+."
Frankly, I was unhappy and I replied:
"It is a FREE App without advertisement or anything. I don't get any reward from this app. I am mere contributing my time and effort and bore the Developer License fee of USD100 and yet it seems like I am put in court and required to produce evidence to prove that my volunteer app is good enough for your app Store. No wonder there are many categories in which Android has Free (or paid) apps but IOS does not. "

AFAIK, Apple keeps a decent share of the price of any APP sold in the shop.
So it's no wonder they are not at all interested in free Apps.

Well done, this will show 'em. Now they have no choice but to approve it. ^^

Frankly, I don't like Apple. They have become arrogant and stubborn like Microsoft and old Sony and (the old IBM).
Remember Sony used to have this special type of SD card (Called Memory stick ) which are so different from other SD, MMC and they forced you to buy them (at much higher priced than SD,MMC) if you buy their electronics equipment (which only supports MemorySticks). They wanted to use their market power to force you to buy inferior stuff from them at premium price. It is exactly what Apple is doing now with its special lightning wire, iTunes (no SD allowed), awkward Objective C, X-Code, No flash etc. I sincerely hope they will suffer what Sony had with this same strategy.
In HK where I live, Iphone market share is disappearing rapidly. It's considered as old/boring by many and new smartphone users tend to choose Android (mostly Samsung, some Sony) instead of iphone as their first smartphone.

Please take that kind of remarks/discussion to the fpc-other list. Thanks.
