keyboard shortcut issues under Linux and FP IDE

Hi,

Anybody know how one can temporarily (for the duration of running the FP IDE) disable the virtual console keyboard shortcuts under Linux?

Example of the problem: If I want to close a Window, the standard shortcut is Alt+F3 in the FP IDE, but that is intercepted by Linux and rather switches me to the 3rd virtual console login. :-/
