I need these for a project I am working on, but even though they are in the wiki, they do not exist in the source code. What happened to them, and how can I get them back?

Since nobody else replied: AFAICS FPC implements it in the StreamEx unit, rather than the Classes unit (as Delphi does).

Flávio

TStringReader is there, but TStringWriter is not.

:/usr/share/fpcsrc/3.2.2/packages/fcl-base/src$ grep -ic "tstringwriter" streamex.pp

Is there a later version of fpc than 3.2.2?

The next release will be 3.2.4.
A release candiate is available.
But, TStringWriter is not present there.
It's only in main.

You can build fpc main yourself from source code, if so desired.
