TCustomComboBox.Style property

Controls the appearance and behavior for the combo-box.

Description

Style is quite Windows-centric, reflecting the evolution of combo-box styles. The basic styles are:

csSimple: Displays an edit box with an attached list (not a drop-down list).
csDropDown: Displays an edit box with a drop-down list.
csDropDownList: Values cannot be entered by the user in the edit box, only selected from the drop-down list.

Owner-drawn drop-down lists have been added, with the values:

csOwnerDrawFixed: All items in the drop-down list are drawn with the same height.
csOwnerDrawVariable: Each item in the list can have a different height.

For the macOS Carbon widgetset, the following style values are not recognized: csSimple, csOwnerDrawFixed and csOwnerDrawVariable. They are not supported in the native control.
