TCustomControlFilterEdit.ApplyFilter procedure
Applies the Filter to the data displayed on the control.

Immediately | Indicates whether the filter is applied immediately. |
Description
ApplyFilter is a method used to apply the Filter for the control,
and to sort and display the items which match the filter value. ApplyFilter
does its job at once when
Immediately is set to
True. It
calls methods like StoreSelection, ApplyFilterCore, and RestoreSelection to
perform the actions needed for an associated control.
If Immediately is False, InvalidateFilter is called to connect the asynchronous event handler routine which applies the filter asynchronously when the Application is in an idle state.
