Description

Items is a TStrings property which contains the string values (and associated objects) displayed on the list box control. Read access to the contents of the list is TStrings compatible. Assign another string list to the property to replace the Items in the control. Internally, Items uses a TExtendedStringList type to access and maintain the cached list items.

Use ItemIndex to access the selected item in the list box control. Use Count to access the number of entries in the Items property. Use the Selected property to select or de-select values in Items when MultiSelect is enabled. Use SelectRange to select a range of Items in the control.

Items is not used when the control is placed in "virtual mode" (Style = lbVirtual). In virtual mode, the content for a list item is determined using the OnData, OnDataObject, or OnDataFind event handlers.
