ConvertEncodingErrorMode variable
Error handling behavior for encoding conversion errors.
Declaration
ConvertEncodingErrorMode: TConvertEncodingErrorMode = ceemSkipDescription
ConvertEncodingErrorMode is a unit global
TConvertEncodingErrorMode variable which controls the behavior
when an error is detected in an encoding conversion routine. For example:
- UTF-8 to single byte encoding
- DBCS (Asian code pages) encoding to UTF-8
- UTF-8 to DBCS (Double Byte Character Sets)
The default value for the variable is ceemSkip, and indicates that
an error is skipped or ignored when encountered in an encoding conversion.
Introduced in version 2.2. Replaces use of the ConvertEncodingErrorRaisesException variable.
