TField.AsUnicodeString property
Field contents as a UnicodeString.

property AsUnicodeString: UnicodeString read GetAsUnicodeString write SetAsUnicodeString;Description
AsUnicodeString returns the field data as a Unicode string (double byte character string).
If the field contains an AnsiString, the data will be converted to unicode according to the
CodePage when reading, and when writing the written data will be converted to single-byte string.
Note that if the field is an ansistring field, some characters may get lost when writing.See also
