QuickCorner

Your everyday apps, one corner away.

QuickCorner is a lightweight desktop launcher built with Delphi FireMonkey. Move the pointer to a screen corner to reveal a compact panel for launching grouped applications, files, and commands.

The shared UI and configuration code compile for macOS using focused desktop utilities and reusable FMX components. The OSX64 build includes a native menu-bar item, single-instance activation, application and file launching, Finder integration, file icons, and live Dock-aware display positioning. Distribution signing and notarization remain incomplete.

Requirements:

  • RAD Studio with Delphi and FireMonkey support
  • Windows 64-bit Delphi toolchain

Open QuickCorner.dproj in RAD Studio and build the Win64 target, or use the repository build script. It locates the latest RAD Studio installation and initializes its command environment automatically:

From macOS, ssh-cmd can invoke the scripts on a Windows host and pd-cmd can invoke them in a local Parallels Desktop VM. See scripts/README.md for setup and command examples.

There is currently no automated test suite. Before release, complete the smoke test checklist in AGENTS.md.

macOS

An Intel 64-bit bootstrap build can be produced from a RAD Studio environment with PAServer and a matching macOS SDK configured:

This target is suitable for development smoke tests, not distribution. The platform status above summarizes the verified scope and remaining work.
