Vizini_V2

Project Vizini: A Lexicon-Based Cryptographic Suite. Use Scribe to author high-entropy VLex databases, LAT to audit mnemonic weight and iteration depth, and the Vizini2 Engine for file encryption. Using the VLex with a Mnemonic to generate the encryption keys.

README

Vizini_V2

Project Vizini v2 is a lexicon-driven cryptographic suite that transforms data using a shared Lexicon, a mnemonic phrase, and user-defined parameters. The full suite includes:

  • Scribe builds high-entropy Lexicons (VLex databases)
  • LAT analyzes Lexicon structure and mnemonic weight
  • Vizini2 performs reversible data transformation

Rather than relying on a fixed key, Vizini v2 derives a dynamic transformation structure from the combination of Lexicon + mnemonic + indices.

What This Is

Vizini v2 is a deterministic, lexicon-driven transformation system designed for experimentation, obfuscation, and controlled data transformation workflows.

Vizini v2 is an Open Source and Experimental "file transformation system with encryption-like behavior" - Verify the code for yourself and use at your own discretion.

What This Is Not

  • Not a formally analyzed cryptographic standard
  • Not a drop-in replacement for established encryption systems
  • Does not provide built-in verification or authentication
  • Not designed for live communication or streaming connections
  • Not reliant on obscure closed-source software
  • Vizini v2 is not backward compatible with the original Vizini keyring structure.

Key Material Model

Vizini v2 does not use a traditional single key.

Instead, transformation depends on:

  • The Lexicon (VLex database)
  • The mnemonic phrase
  • Starting indices and parameters

All of these must be known and reproduced exactly to ensure a correct reverse transformation.

Loss or mismatch of any component will result in unpredictable output.

Randomness Source

Lexicon generation in Scribe relies on the host operating system’s cryptographically secure pseudorandom number generator (CSPRNG).

While not truly random, this provides high-quality entropy suitable for practical use.

Quick Start

  1. Open Scribe → Create or load a Lexicon
  2. Open LAT → Inspect word weight and structure (optional)
  3. Open Vizini2
    • Load Lexicon
    • Enter mnemonic
    • Set starting indices
    • Transform your data

Important Behavior

Vizini v2 will always produce an output for any input, but it does not provide built-in verification of correctness. External validation is required when accuracy matters.

In practice, incorrect inputs do not fail loudly-they fail silently.

Portability

Vizini v2 is fully portable:

  • No installation required
  • No system modifications
  • Runs directly from USB, SD, or external storage

All components are self-contained and designed for use across multiple machines.

Dependencies

Vizini v2 uses SQLite (libsqlite3.so) as its embedded database engine.

  • No server required
  • Single-file database (portable)
  • Already included on most systems

In most environments, no additional setup is needed.

Verification Limitations

Vizini v2 does not provide built-in integrity or correctness verification.

Because any input will produce an output:

  • Incorrect parameters will yield unpredictable results
  • Incorrect parameters can map to arbitrary output of the same size
  • Outputs may appear valid even when incorrect ("false positives")
  • There is no internal mechanism to confirm correctness
  • There is no reliable way to distinguish correct from incorrect output without external validation

License

This project is licensed under GPLv3 to ensure transparency and auditability.

  • Source code must be available for all distributed versions
  • Modifications must be disclosed
  • Encourages public review and trust

Users are encouraged to inspect and verify the code themselves.

Pre-compiled executables are available for all components.

...but if you want to compile it for yourself...

Building from Source

  1. Install Lazarus IDE and Free Pascal.
  2. Clone this repo: git clone https://github.com/Tumblefluff/Vizini_V2
  3. Open the .lpi project files in Lazarus.
  4. Inspect the code for yourself!
  5. Build (Ctrl + F9).
  6. (Optional) Strip Debug Data if confirmed working
    1. Open a Terminal in the folder where the compiled executable can be found
    2. Use strip --strip-all [Name of Compiled Executable] for each component
    3. Close Terminal

Appropriate Use Cases

Vizini v2 may be suitable for:

  • Experimental cryptographic exploration
  • Obfuscation where strict guarantees are not required
  • Obfuscation where plausible deniability is a valuable security strategy
  • Controlled environments where inputs and outputs can be independently verified

It is not recommended for:

  • Protecting sensitive data without additional safeguards
  • Situations requiring strong confidentiality guarantees
  • Systems requiring built-in integrity or authenticity checks
