Simple Text editor built atop ForTextCore.

editor tui

About the project:

This is a simple tui text editor written without any external libraries in pascal. This editor is to highlight the use of ForTextCore library and it's text handling capabillities. This is achieved throught the ABI bindings. The editor is simple and doesn't write anything to disk but processes the stream from the backend in a simple manner allowing for rendering of large files efficiently. The editor is currently a bit rough around the edges and in it's current state represents a proof of concept.

Direction of Project if it's to Continue:

The project ideally would mature to be an editor primarily based around text streams and stream processing. The underlying editor core should mutate alongside it allowing for operations to be completed at a lower level. I would like to experiment with fast operations on text streams such as searching in real time and also mutating the stream as it appears, i.e translation of a text stream allowing files to be read in all languages efficiently. It would be interesting to optimise the stream processing capabillities and even extend them to allow for real time text processing (maybe even on remote machines).
