BanPlu - Agrometeorological Database Management Application

BanPlu is a powerful application designed to manage a comprehensive database of agrometeorological information, including rainfall, maximum temperature, and minimum temperature data from thousands of weather stations. This versatile application offers various statistical features, such as veranicos (dry spells), excessive rainfall analysis, yearly classification as normal, dry, or wet, climate balance assessment, sequential hydrological balance, and rainfall frequency analysis.

Table of Contents

Introduction

BanPlu is a state-of-the-art solution for managing and analyzing agrometeorological data. It allows users to import, store, and analyze weather-related information to make informed decisions in agriculture, water resource management, and environmental studies. This application is designed to provide comprehensive insights into climate patterns, helping users better understand and predict weather-related phenomena.

Features

1. Veranicos and Excessive Rainfall Analysis

  • Identify and analyze dry spells (veranicos) and excessive rainfall events.
  • Gain insights into the duration and severity of these meteorological phenomena.

2. Yearly Classification

  • Classify years as normal, dry, or wet based on historical data.
  • Understand long-term climate trends to support decision-making.

3. Climate Balance Assessment

  • Calculate and visualize the balance of climate variables over time.
  • Track temperature and rainfall patterns to evaluate climate conditions.

4. Sequential Hydrological Balance

  • Assess the hydrological balance by analyzing water availability over time.
  • Understand water resource fluctuations for informed water management.

5. Rainfall Frequency Analysis

  • Study the frequency and intensity of rainfall events.
  • Determine rainfall distribution patterns for specific regions.
