README
The end of Life is neigh... Gray Goo is coming.
Compiles to: Windows, Linux, Android
# Short introduction
The game is a mix between a well-known Life game and real-time strategy written in Free Pascal + Lazarus + Castle Game Engine.
Player can spawn Life game objects in the battlefield to destroy enemies and eliminate gray goo.
(Surely I'm late for Ludum Dare 41, but let's have fun anyway :))
# Rules
Rules are similar to Life game:
If a cell has 1 or less neighbours it dies.
If a cell has 4 or more neighbours it dies.
If a cell has 2 or 3 neighbours it lives.
A dead space with 3 living neigbours becomes a living cell.
Now the difference:
If a cell has 2 or more neighbours of enemy color it will become it's color.
If a living cell was born with non-single-colored cells it is a GrayGoo (gray color).
If a GrayGoo cell touches a colored cell it becomes its color in case there are no other colors around.
If a cell gets too old it becomes a GrayGoo cell.
Strategy elements:
Each living cell of player's color produces 1 point of resource per turn.
Blinkers are the main power sources as they additionally produce 100 points of resource per 2 turns (when they are in vertical state).
Gliders are the main attack force capable of destroying enemy fortifications and causing uncontrolled reactions in their base.
Lightweight spaceship are expensive weapon, but can be used to attack enemies from sides.
Still lifes are used as defensive structures.
Toad and Beacon can be used to extend the ability of the player to locate his objects.
if a player looses all cells of his color, he looses it all.
