Minimal Dashboard

A clean and minimal Rainmeter skin suite that displays time, date, music info, and more on your desktop.

Features

  • Clock — 12H / 24H time display with bold typography
  • Date — Full date with day name, ordinal, month, and year
  • Time of Day — Automatic image and label based on morning/afternoon/evening/night
  • Day Progress — Real-time percentage of the day that has elapsed
  • Music Info — Now playing widget with artist, title, and play/pause toggle (via WebNowPlaying)
  • Settings Panel — Customize colors, select media player, and configure localization
  • Scroll to Resize — Mouse wheel up/down to scale any widget
  • Non-Draggable — Widgets stay locked in place

Requirements

Installation

  1. Download or clone this repository
  2. Copy the Minimal Dashboard folder into your Rainmeter Skins directory:
    pascal
    %APPDATA%\Rainmeter\Skins\
  3. Right-click the Rainmeter tray icon → Refresh all
  4. Load any skin from the Minimal Dashboard folder

Skin Components

Component Description
Time/Time12H.ini 12-hour clock (e.g., "3:45 PM")
Time/Time24H.ini 24-hour clock (e.g., "15:45")
Date/Date.ini Full date display
Time of Day/Time Of Day.ini Contextual image + greeting
Time Calculate/Time Calculate.ini Day progress percentage
Music Info/Music Info.ini Now playing widget
Settings/Settings.ini Configuration panel

Supported Media Players

The Music Info widget supports any of these players through WebNowPlaying:

  • Spotify
  • iTunes / Apple Music
  • Windows Media Player
  • Winamp
  • Foobar2000
  • AIMP
  • MusicBee
  • J.River Media
  • MediaMonkey
  • YouTube, SoundCloud, and other browser-based players (via WebNowPlaying extension)

Configuration

Colors

Open the Settings skin and click on any color swatch to change it using the built-in color picker:

Color1 255,255,255 Primary color (text)
Color2 255,29,48 Secondary color (accents)
Color3 153,151,151 Tertiary color (muted text)

Localization

Edit @Resources/Language/Language.inc to translate day names, month names, and time-of-day labels.

Media Player

Change the Player variable in @Resources/Variables.inc or use the Settings panel to select your media player.
