Micro-Max for Cute Chess

Overview

Application allowing successful dialog between Micro-Max chess engine and Cute Chess.

What it does exactly

The application relays messages from Cute Chess to engine, and vice versa.

When necessary, a promotion suffix is appended to engine move, so that Cute Chess does not declare the move illegal.

The application is based on Substitute, and on my Pascal chess library.

How to use

Run substitute with the engine name as parameter, for example (under Linux):

./substitute umax16

You can also provide the engine path in a file substitute.ini:
