X-Arena (Pascal Port)
A twin-stick roguelite shooter in a hexagonal arena — now rewritten in Object Pascal!
This is a Pascal port of X-Arena by Bigfoot71, originally written in C3 for the raylib 6.x Game Jam. The original was built in just 6 days — this port recreates the full experience using Free Pascal and raylib.
About the Game
Fight endless waves of enemies inside a glowing hexagonal arena. Collect orbs to unlock random perks, stack up to six of them, and adapt your build as new perks replace old ones. Every run plays differently.
Features
- Hexagonal arena — a unique, shader-driven battlefield with animated grid and ambient drops
- Roguelite perk system — 19 perks across stats and behaviors (Twin Shot, Homing Rounds, Chain Blast, Energy Shield, Extra Bomb, and more)
- Perk synergy — combine up to 6 perks; new ones replace old ones, forcing constant adaptation
- Multiple enemy types — standard Gecko fighters, Thargoid motherships, and swarming Thargons that spawn on death
- Boss-level waves — every 5th level spawns Thargoids instead of regular enemies
- Twin-stick controls — full keyboard + mouse and gamepad support
- Stylized visuals — wireframe models, bloom post-processing, glitch transitions, and an optional dithering filter
- Original soundtrack and SFX from the original release

About This Port
The original X-Arena was written in C3 and released for the raylib 6.x Game Jam. This version is a faithful rewrite in Object Pascal (Free Pascal + raylib bindings), preserving the gameplay, visuals, and audio of the original while showcasing what Pascal can do with modern raylib.
