DBDateTimePicker

TDBDateTimePicker is a simple data-aware VCL component for Delphi that allows you to use the standard TDateTimePicker with database fields.

The component is intended for cases where a visual date/time picker is needed with direct binding to a dataset field, similar to standard DB-aware VCL controls.

Features

  • Direct data binding via:
    • DataSource
    • DataField
  • Read and write support for Date, Time, and DateTime fields
  • ReadOnly property to control whether the field value can be modified
  • Fully compatible with VCL
  • Installable as a separate IDE package

Installation

  1. Open DBDateTimePickerPkg.dpk in Delphi
  2. Build the package
  3. Install the package into the IDE
  4. The component will appear in the VCL component palette, the 'Data Controls' tab.

Usage

  1. Drop TDBDateTimePicker onto a form
  2. Set the following properties:
    • DataSource � the data source
    • DataField � the name of the date/time field
  3. (Optional) Use ReadOnly to prevent editing the value

The component automatically synchronizes its value with the dataset field.
