The UpdateService Delphi project is a Windows service designed to check for updates of the MyApp application and trigger the updater if a new version is available.

The UpdateService Delphi project provides a flexible and efficient solution for automating the update process of the MyApp application. It periodically checks for new versions and triggers the updater if updates are available.

Installation

Follow these steps to install the UpdateService Delphi project:

# Building from Source
1. Clone the repository: `git clone https://github.com/delphifanforum/UpdateWinService`
2. Open the project in the Delphi IDE.
3. Build the project.
4. Follow steps 2-5 from the above installation instructions.

Usage

Example Usage

  • Start the service: UpdateService.exe start
  • Stop the service: UpdateService.exe stop
  • Check for updates manually: UpdateService.exe check

Configuration

Configure the UpdateService by editing the configuration file (update-service.ini). Adjust the AppPath and UpdateURL parameters according to your MyApp setup.
