Standard type/it

Esistono alcuni tipi di dato che sono definiti da un compilatore Pascal come standard data types. Questi tipi di dato sono generalmente le strutture basilari usate da un programma Pascal, dal momento che variabili e costanti basate su di essi possono essere create solo da questi tipi. I tipi di dato standard includono:

• boolean - true o false
• char - Caratteri
• real - Numeri con cifre decimali o esponenti
• integer - numeri interi
• set - Un insieme di valori

Altri tipi standard definiti nei compilatori più avanzati includono:

• object - utilizzati per dichiarare oggetti
• string - utilizzati per dichiarare stringhe che sono gestite automaticamente dal compilatore e dalla libreria run-time.
