Erisuuri kuin on symboli <> (joka koostuu < (pienempi kuin symboli) jota seuraa > (suurempi kuin -merkki) käytetään vertaamaan onko arvo symbolin vasemmalla puolella eri suuri kuin oikealle puolella oleva, ja palauttaa boolean arvon true tai false sen seurauksena.
