Vincent Snijders

Hi,

I am about to add the compiled qt interface units for the win32 platform to the windows snapshot installer.

The same script is shared by the win64 installer. Does qt work on windows 64?

Well, one would need to build the helper library too (qt4intf.dll).

Wasn?t there the case not long ago that there were no gnu binutils for win64? In that case neither qt nor qt4intf will work on win64

Also, there is no pre-compiled qt library for win64, one would need to compile it?s own, supposing qt supports win64.

The qt4intf depend on the gnu tool chain for compilation?

If QT doesn't provide dlls for win64, it is madness to compile them ourselves.

Then there is no reason to have the qt widgetset interface available on win64.

It depends on gcc, which depends on gnu tool chain

I would say that too

IIRC: qt/opensource only supports gcc. Commercial edition also supports commercial compilers (visual studio and intel one on Windows). For "support" I mean that they provide makefiles and build scripts for the target compiler.
So, until there is no mingw64....
