dbutils.pas(12, 64) Fatal: Can't find unit dbutils used by rxdbgrid_findunit

All of a sudden I am getting this error when trying to compile a project.

When I open the rxdbgrid_findunit and press Ctrl-Enter on dbutils.pas it opens in the IDE.

Originally rx 1.0 was included in the component set and I installed rx 1.2.2.103. The Compiled Packages showed both of them before, and in any case things still worked. I have now removed rx 1.0 from the package list.

When I check in the projects Inherited Options under Compiler Options I see:

rx 1.0
unit path= C:\lazarus28240\components\rx\lib\

I wonder whether the presence of the rx 1.0 unit path is the cause of the problem. I suspect that it is not because it was all working fine before.

What exactly could be wrong?

This type of error comes up too often and it can be really frustrating.
