I'd like to tweak the IDE so that Ctrl+Shift+F brings up the Find in Files dialog. I'm happy to do the work if someone can point me to the right unit are the menus are defined and I will implement it and submit a patch.

Anyone have any objections to using that short-cut? It seems to be used in Delphi, Visual Studio and I suspect a few other applications.

Dominique.

No need to edit any code! My Lazarus is setup like that as well. Simply define you preferred keyboard shortcut for that action: 'Environment|Editor Options...' and select the 'Key Mappings' tab. Then expand 'Text search and replace commands' in the treeview and 'Find in Files' is in the list. ;-)

No objections, I have this locally too.

What to you suggest for shortcut for the prettyformat?

Never mind. I am getting old. I already changed that more that two years ago: http://svn.freepascal.org/cgi-bin/viewvc.cgi/trunk/components/prettyformat/pfidesource.pas?sortby=file&root=lazarus&view=diff&r1=8571&r2=8572
