Hi all,

I wonder if there is a chance to save configuraton of installed component so it should be needed just to restore the source code into the same locations as before and rebuild lazarus ide to have the previous ide. I can remember that with Delphi this was a pain (at least until Delphi 7 which I stopped to !)

Thanks
Antonio

Yes, this is possible.
Copy the configuration files. Under non windows this is for example ~/.lazarus. And copy your packages to the same locations. Start the IDE and rebuild it.

Does anyone know the path for the configuration files under windows? Specially the one for the position of the main ide form? I searched everywhere, but can't seam to find it.

The file is 'environmentoptions.xml' as far as I know. I would imagine it's in the c:\Document and Settings\<profile name>\Application Data\Lazarus or something like that.

It is still in the directory of the lazarus executable. That will change though in 0.9.26 or 0.9.28. Then it will be in the AppData directory.
