the -dev packages come with X-Code
although you have to install X11 itself.
It should be all on the DVD or you can download the apple website for free - although you need a free ADC account.

Currently the user can compile all the source code of fpGUI Toolkit, but gets the old "-lX11 linking error". In the case of Ubuntu Linux you would be required to install the libx11-dev package. He would also need the libxft-dev package. Where do you get these for OS X? As far as I know (which isn't much regarding OS X), there is no package manager or repositories for OS X like there is for Linux. Anybody know where I can get those *-dev packages from? On Mac OS X 10.5, X11 is installed by default when you install the OS. On 10.4, it's an optional install and he may have to explicitly install it from his install DVD.

I believe the X11 package immediately includes all developmet libraries as well.
