Dear Ladies & Gentleman,

I am proud to announce I have just released a new version of AggPas, the Object Pascal port of the wonderful AGG.

http://www.aggpas.org

A New version of AggPas 2.4 Release Milano 3 is now capable of doing same things it's master library in C/C++ does.

On top of that, I have completely documented the Agg2D API.

http://www.aggpas.org/documentation

Examples are in Object Pascal, but besides that I think also C/C++ users can benefit from it, since the API interface is the same.

Last news is about some new gradient fills, I have created for AggPas 2.4 RM3. The main one is Contour Gradient, and it can create the color transitions from any arbitrary shape.

http://www.aggpas.org/aggpas-demo.htm#ContourGradient

There are also a new Assymetric Conic & Bitmap gradients. I want to ask all of you to just let me know, if there would be interest to have these new gradients also in C/C++ version. If your concern would be considerable, I would port it back to C/C++ to make some contribution.

Have a nice day
Milano

For those PASCAL users, who doesn't have a clue about which C/C++ programmers I am talking about in the rest of my announcement, I must admit that I have made a mistake in the content of the message (which was originally addressed to other discussion group).

Again, sorry. It's 2.00 am here and I am getting a little tired :-ooo

But, in the rest, the announcement is valid.

Look, Try and Enjoy.
Milano

I'll surely look at it, just two small questions before dowloading it:

"Agg2D API and also TAgg2D for Delphi VCL": can I use TAgg2D with Lazarus LCL? Can I use the API also with FPC-RTL/FCL applications?

It seems to me that (a) in Agg there is a SDL platform support and (b) it in not in AggPas, am I correct?
(I ask here only because actually I'm working with FPC and SDL)

thanks for your very (huge) and interesting work :-)

Yes you can use AggPas with Lazarus LCL or only FPC. From the previous release of AggPas, it included it's own miniture GUI which was used to create all the example/demo projects.

AggPas is truely brilliant with what it can do! Excellent work Milan!
