How can make a profilable executable on win32?

If I compile a simple testprogram I get the following error message:

fpc -pg testprof.pas

Free Pascal Compiler version 1.0.6 [2002/04/23] for i386 Copyright (c) 1993-2002 by Florian Klaempfl
-: cannot find -lgmon
testprof.pas(20,1) Error: Error while linking

Carl recently wrote that he tried (and fixed?) the profiling on win32 for 1.0.x

Try a 1.0.7 snapshot and install a libgmon from a mingw package.

Greetings,
I fixed it and it works perfectly (it seems) but it was for version 1.1, not 1.0.7, and you need to have mingw32 2.0.x installed and in your lib path...

I did this. Now I get this error:
-: cannot find mcount.ow

I don't know where I can find this file.

Can you help me?

Regards,
Vincent.

This morning I installed fpc 1.1.

There I also got the same error as in 1.0.7.
-: cannot find mcount.ow

Does anybody know where I can find this file. It isn't part of mingw32 I downloaded.

The profiling changes in 1.0.7 are not yet merged to 1.1

Grrrrrr.... :) Profiling was fixed in *1.1*, not 1.0.7 and it works perfectly... I'm using it now!! The problem is that the snapshot creation is broken currently, so you can't have the snapshot where this was fixed (I fixed it saturday, and the last snapshot for win32 dates from the 21st november!!)....

Try doing a make cycle manually on the latest source code, and it should work...
