according to the Programmer's Manual, the switch $W should toggle the generation of stackframes. Using {$W-} (or {$STACKFRAMES OFF}) gives me

What's the reason for this?

I've just encountered a problem with FPU code in BASM:
source line:
fsub st(1),st(0)
delphi compiles:
fsub st(1),st(0) opcode: DC E9
fpc compiles:
fsubr st(1),st(0) opcode: DC E1
I'm quite sure that the fpc way is wrong. (version 1.0.6)

The switch is parsed for Delphi compatibility reasons, but stack frames are generated anyhow.
