I would like to know if the threavar keyword is implemented in Free Pascal as it is in Delphi.
If not is there a workaround to perform the same trick ?

It is, but it functions only in Win32 and if you compile the 1.1 RTL with the MT define, I think.
If not is there a workaround to perform the same trick ?
Use the heap.
