Hello All!

I want to mix (under linux) the vantage of UnCGI & Interbase unit, but the result is a weird error message. Maybe this is not the good place for this question, but i can't find the solve of this problem.

Here the error message:

Connecting to testdb.gdb: OK. Starting Transaction : OK. Allocating statement : OK. Preparing statement : Failed: <- This is the problem.

// Write ('Preparing statement : '); if ISC_dsql_prepare(@status,@ta,@statement,0,query,1,sqlda)0 then

(sources: testib.pp, uncgi.pp, ibase60.pp)

My system: SuSE Linux v6.4
Apache WEB server,
FPC 1.0,
Interbase 6.0 under linux.

Best regards,
Gabor Keve

P.s.: Sorry for my bad english!

Did you test the testib without uncgi ?

You can also try using the IBdataset units; it works in a Delphi like manner, and the units definitely work, since I tried them on saturday.

If you have sources of FPC, try the object wrapper of ibase units, it's located in
fcl/db/interbase dir in development tree. Here is workaround, which show you server error messages,
so you can better discover what's wrong with it. I can also send you most recent units,
or you can download fcl.zip sources from main download tree.

Prepare can fail for many reasons, bad SQL statement, transaction error or so...

Hello!

Feladó: "Michael Van Canneyt" Did you test the testib without uncgi ?

Yes, without UnCGI work well under the linux environment. I forgot to say, the program is a CGI application. If i try under some browser, the program halt with that errormessage. If i try to run under linux without uncgi, work well, and i get some datas. The error come, if i try this way: http://www.someserver.com/cgi-bin/testib
