Hello All,

I tested RC2 of 3.2.4 and all seems to be right except two things:
- Well working on 3.2.2 a program heavily using gotoxy to manage text window fail to write at the right place. I'm the only one which encounter such a problem ?
- I tested deadstore optimisation, but the program's operate wrong (but do not crash). Si I keep the optimisation off like on 3.2.2

Cheers, Ched'

It is possible that a bug has not been fixed, but which platform are we talking about here? GotoXY implementation is platform specific, because the CRT unit is platform specific.

Hello Charlie,

win11 64 bits for intel processors (I use i386-win32 variant).

I haven't tested yet linux on neither the same machine nor the various Raspberry's I have.

For what I see, the contenet of the writing on the screen is correct, but locations are wrong like if gotoxy does strincly nothing. The behavor with 3.2.2 if perfect.

crt comes in first place of the list of units.

Cheers, Raoul

I played a bit with the below program.  It seems right to me.

uses crt;
var  i:integer;
begin
   gotoxy(1,1);
   for i:=1 to 8 do
     write('1234567890');
   for i:=1 to 20 do
     begin
       gotoxy(1,i);
       write(i);
     end;
   for i:= 11 to 15 do
     begin
       gotoxy(i,i);
       writeln('hello');
     end;
end.

Dear All,

Maybe it's a/my beginner's bug : after cleaning all intermediate files (.o .ppu) all seem to be ok. On the first attempt, I asked for a compile build ; maybe some relicats somewhere ?

Sorry. _Thank you_ for this greaaaaat compiler !

Cheers, Ched'
