InternalRefresh is an overridden procedure used to perform actions needed to refresh the records in the buffered dataset. InternalRefresh implements the method defined in the ancestor class. InternalRefresh ensures that no update buffers have been allocated for records in the dataset. If any update buffers exist, an exception is raised by calling DatabaseError.

InternalRefresh sets the value in the Refreshing property to True, and resets the value prior to exiting from the method. InternalRefresh sets the value in the DefaultFields property to False to prevent automatic field creation when the dataset is refreshed. The property is restored to its previous value when the refresh process is completed.

InternalRefresh calls FreeFieldBuffers to free any buffers allocated for fields in the dataset. ClearBuffers is called to clear values in the ActiveRecord, CurrentRecord, and RecordCount properties. Internal flags are also set to indicate that no data is present in the dataset. The content in the dataset is reloaded by calling the InternalClose and InternalOpen methods.

InternalRefresh is used in the implementation of the Refresh method.
