TCustomBufDataset.IsCursorOpen function

Member of TCustomBufDatasetprotectedIn unit BufDataset

Indicates if the cursor for the dataset has been opened.

Declaration

pascal
function IsCursorOpen: Boolean; override

Function result

True if the cursor has been opened.

Description

IsCursorOpen is an overridden Boolean function which indicates if the cursor for the dataset has been opened. IsCursorOpen implements the method defined in the ancestor class.

The ancestor class uses the cursor concept to indicate that field definitions (and the fields bound to those definitions) have already been established for the dataset. In TCustomBufDataset (and descendent classes) this means that the InternalOpen method has been called. The return value is True when InternalOpen has been called. The return value is False when InternalClose has been called.
