TCustomBufDataset.InternalInitFieldDefs procedure
Performs actions needed to initialize field definitions for the dataset.
Declaration
procedure InternalInitFieldDefs; overrideDescription
InternalInitFieldDefs is an overridden procedure used to perform actions needed to initialize field definitions for the dataset. InternalInitFieldDefs implements the abstract method defined in the ancestor class.
InternalInitFieldDefs uses the value in the FileName property to determine if field definitions can be loaded from a file on the local file system. When FileName is not an empty string (''), the IntLoadFieldDefsFromFile is called to load the field definitions for the dataset. The internal data packet reader and the file stream used in the operation are freed after loading the field definitions for the specified file name.
No actions are performed in the method when FileName contains an empty string ('').
InternalInitFieldDefs is used in the implementation of the InitFieldDefs and OpenCursor methods.
