TCustomBufDataset.DoFilterRecord procedure
Performs actions needed to filter records in the dataset.
Declaration
procedure DoFilterRecord(out Acceptable: Boolean); virtualArguments
Acceptable | Indicates if a record matches the Filter for the dataset. |
Description
DoFilterRecord is a procedure used to perform actions needed to filter records in the buffered dataset. DoFilterRecord signals the OnFilterRecord event handler when it has been assigned in the class instance. OnFilterRecord allows the application to determine record visibility using the criteria defined in the event handler. The
Acceptable parameter is updated in the event handler to indicate if the record matches the criteria.
DoFilterRecord also uses the value in the Filter property (when assigned) to determine if the current record matches the filter condition. When Acceptable contains True (the default value), the internal Parser is used to extract the contents of the current record buffer.
DoFilterRecord is called from the GetRecord and Locate methods when the Filtered property contains True.
